The future is bright and
hope springs eternal with each breathe
Clouds hide the horizon as I
give in to hopelessness with each breathe
The world gives it's bounty
at my every turn and act

A blank mask covers my every expression as I cry out from my heart
Joyful sounds caress my ears
as warm winds gently touches my skin
Fearful noise assaults my
senses as a downpour chills all of my skin
I need to share this wonder
and excitement that touches every part of life
Hide and run is what I do as
cower at the terror that touches every part of life
Tomorrow is the dearest gift
I have as each day brings it's own joyous desires
Fear grips my heart like a
vise as I worry who confront me with morbid desires
Life is a treasure beyond
compare as I look to the future and think on the past
